Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Patient Access Representative I for the Medicine department in Orange and Eastside. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, schedule visits, and support the care team to ensure efficient patient flow and accurate registration.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, solid communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of EPIC and MyChart is a plus; prior healthcare or hospital registration experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or customer service is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in/out and collect demographic/insurance data.
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment and usage.
• Enter/validate patient information in registration systems.
• Process patient payments for copays/deductibles/balances.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper PHI handling.
