Job summary

University Hospitals in Ohio is seeking a Patient Access Representative I for the Eastside OB/GYN location. This role handles patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, MyChart enrollment, and accurate demographic/insurance data entry to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will collaborate with the care team, manage patient questions, and assist with payments while upholding PHI confidentiality and high service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of Customer Service experience required.
• Healthcare customer service preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits.
• Answer phone inquiries and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment.
• Enter and validate patient demographics and insurance data.
• Communicate with care team and insurance contacts.
• Process patient payments for copays and balances.
• Maintain EPIC work queues and inbasket messages.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up visits.
• Support cross-site duties as needed.
• Maintain PHI confidentiality and comply with policies.
