UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative I to support front office operations with compassionate, patient-centered service. The role involves registering patients, verifying demographics and insurance, and ensuring accurate data entry in the registration system.

Under supervision, you will work across hospital locations, handling patient communications, collecting copays where required, and maintaining privacy per HIPAA guidelines while delivering excellent

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year to 3 years in a customer service field preferred.
• 2 years in a clinical/medical office setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Pre-register/register patients for scheduled or unscheduled services across hospital areas.
• Interview patients or representatives to obtain/verify demographic and insurance information using current systems.
• Obtain copies of identification and insurance cards.
• Document information in the registration system per departmental standards.
• Process legal and compliance consent forms and advance directives as applicable.
• Inform patients of visit status during delays and delays in service.
