Job summary

Advocate Health in Fond du Lac, WI seeks a full-time Revenue Cycle Clerk to support patient registration and billing processes. You will verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and help patients understand their financial responsibilities.

You will use EPIC and other systems to create patient records, coordinate schedules, and ensure accurate data entry, while maintaining HIPAA standards in a fast-paced environment. Customer service excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare admin is not required but a plus.
• Demonstrates understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Create initial electronic health record ensuring patient safety and accurate identification.
• Register patients; collect demographics, insurance, and payment responsibilities; ensure timely billing.
• Explain insurance coverage and discuss financial obligations with patients; refer to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, and other regulatory requirements during processes.
• Coordinate appointments, provide test prep and arrival guidance, and assist with transportation needs.
