Job summary

Des Moines Orthopaedics - West Des Moines is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to be the friendly, first point of contact for patients calling to schedule appointments, speak with a nurse, or connect to billing. This full-time role is based on-site with a pathway to remote/hybrid work after training.

Prior call center or medical office experience is a plus, and you will work in a collaborative team on the second floor of our West Des Moines office. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8a–5p.

Qualifications

• High School or better in General or related field.
• 1 year: Call Center experience preferred.
• 1 year: Customer Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take incoming calls, gather information about patients, insurance, and situation.
• Help match patients with the referred provider or first available provider.
• Provide compassionate service and maintain professional communication with patients.
