The role requires 1+ year experience in healthcare, a high school diploma or equivalent, strong organization and communication skills, and willingness to travel to JAG locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant certificate program preferred.
• 1+ years as medical receptionist/administrative assistant in the health care field.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to multiple JAG locations per travel policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary.
• Field all phone calls that arrive using the main office number.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments using medical office software.
• Register new patients and update necessary records.
• Distribute forms and paperwork to ensure required fields are completed.
• Daily collection of patient financial responsibility.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other diverse duties as requested or required.
