Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant certificate program preferred.
• 1+ year experience as a medical receptionist/administrative assistant.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to travel to JAG locations per policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions.
• Handle calls on the general office number.
• Use medical office software to schedule appointments.
• Register new patients and update records.
• Distribute forms to ensure required fields are completed.
• Daily collection of patient financial responsibility.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation and auto claim submissions.
• Perform other duties as required.
