Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Patient Access Representative to deliver exceptional service at the point of contact in clinic or phone interactions. You will greet patients, verify demographics, scan documents, and route forms while ensuring accurate financial obligations are established and collected.

The role involves coordinating scheduling with nursing and providers, handling referrals, pre-authorizations, and interpreter services, and supporting telemedicine and recall workflows

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• Six months' customer service experience desired.
• BLS may be required for certain locations/settings.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify demographics.
• Create, scan and route documents or electronic forms.
• Inform patients what the document is and capture signatures on necessary paperwork.
• Establishs and assigns financial responsibility and assists with arrangements while adhering to policies.
• Collects co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances.
• Address and resolve registration errors or denied insurance claims.
