Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Patient Access Representative to deliver exceptional service to patients. You will be the first point of contact, handling registration, scheduling, and insurance coordination in a fast-paced clinic.

The role involves registration, appointment scheduling, eligibility checks, referrals, and coordinating telehealth or health information activities while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• BLS may be required for certain locations and/or settings.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, verify demographics and collect co-payments or payments.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals, pre-authorization, and reminders.
• Operate multi-line phone system and manage the registration work queue.
• Coordinate telehealth appointments and health information management activities.
• Prepare and organize charts and documents; assist with patient financial arrangements.
