Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks a dedicated Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will perform hospital registrations, verify insurance, collect payments, and ensure data accuracy across multiple systems.

Strong communication, empathy, and attention to detail are essential to maximize reimbursements and provide outstanding service at Memorial Belleville and supporting Shiloh location when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience <2 years in patient access/registration preferred.
• Associate degree preferred for advancement.
• CHAA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and schedule within multiple BJC systems and verify insurance.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect applicable patient payments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with HIPAA and MSP requirements.
