BJC HealthCare is seeking a Part-Time Patient Access Representative based in Shiloh, IL. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling registration, scheduling, and insurance verification while maintaining a high standard of customer service and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include accurate data entry, MPI selection, communicating financial responsibilities to patients, and ensuring proper adherence to MSP, EMTALA, and facility policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree.
• Training in hospital registration and scheduling is a plus.
• Experience with insurance verification is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and schedule appointments across multiple hospital systems.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; collect patient payments when applicable.
• Explain financial responsibilities and ensure HIPAA compliance and MSP guidelines.
