Job summary

Geisinger Clinic is seeking Patient Access Representatives to provide front line support, greet and register patients, verify demographics, and coordinate daily office activities. You will schedule follow-up appointments, explain financial obligations, and ensure efficient check-in procedures in a patient-centered environment.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma (or GED) and prefer prior clerical or customer service experience, with a focus on empathy and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Front line patient registration experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and empathy in handling inquiries.
• Strong clerical and organizational skills.
• Ability to verify demographics and process payments accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register incoming patients and support check-out.
• Coordinate front line office activities for the department.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient recall as needed.
• Verify patient demographics and check-in procedures.
• Communicate financial obligations and collect at time of service.
• Post cash and manage accounts queues to ensure timely resolutions.
• Maintain patient records and release as required.
