Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, handling registration, scheduling, and billing support. You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, scan documents into the EMR, and assist with online registrations while ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Ideal candidates have excellent customer service, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with EMR systems, preferably eCW.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Customer-centric, warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, dynamic atmosphere.
• Able to communicate and work with patients, coworkers, and providers.
• Dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously.
• Collect patient demographics and update profiles per policy.
• Collect payment and assist with billing while meeting at-time-of-service goals.
• Scan insurance cards, IDs, and documents into the EMR (HIPAA compliant).
• Set up payment plans per policy.
• Answer a high volume of calls and respond to emails promptly.
• Confirm all next-business-day appointments.
• Monitor lobby and inform patients of provider delays.
• Assist patients with online registration or form completion.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and verify insurance information.
