Job summary

Advocate Health in Cartersville, GA seeks a part-time Patient Access/Receptionist for Pulmonary Medicine. You will greet patients, confirm demographics and insurance, complete registrations, and collect co-pays in a fast-paced clinic.

Working 24 hours per week, Monday-Friday days (8:00-5:00) with potential to move to full-time. Pay range is $19.80–$29.70 per hour, commensurate with experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with preferred patient access experience.
• Experience with insurance verification, scheduling and billing is preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer requirements is helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work under pressure in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage flow for efficient, courteous service.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Complete registrations for walk-in patients and collect balances.
• Follow financial clearance policies and refer to Financial Counselor when needed.
• Schedule follow-ups and close visits with proper documentation.
