Atrium Health Floyd is hiring a Patient Services Representative I for the Pulmonary Medicine department in Cartersville, GA. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; patient access and scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and ADT software.
• Knowledge of Medicare/insurance concepts and HIPAA rules desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients arriving for appointments and monitor patient flow.
• Complete registration and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Process walk-in registrations and update patient data as needed.
• Explain financial responsibilities and assist with billing questions.
• Refer patients to Financial Counselor when needed and ensure pre-certification where required.
• Provide courteous, accurate information and maintain professional demeanor.
