Advocate Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative I in Cartersville, GA. The role focuses on patient registration, insurance verification and financial counseling within a busy clinic setting.

The position is part-time (24 hours/week) with potential to move to full-time. Attention to accuracy, courteous communication, and knowledge of payer requirements is essential as you support patients through scheduling and registration processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; patient access experience preferred.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid and insurance pre-certification is a plus.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and monitors flow for courteous, efficient service.
• Verifies and updates patient demographics and insurance information.
• Completes walk-in registrations and checks pre-certifications when needed.
• Obtains and collects patient financial liability and balances.
• Keeps up with Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer rules and policies.
