Hanger, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a friendly front desk specialist to ensure a seamless patient experience from check-in to checkout. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and coordinate appointments including casts and prosthetic care schedules.

The role emphasizes strong communication, computer proficiency, and the ability to work with diverse patients. A high school diploma and reception experience are preferred, with driving eligibility required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than one year of customer service or related experience preferred.
• Experience in a receptionist role or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Valid driver's license and driving record per policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at arrival, provide wait time information and answer inquiries.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance at check-in; handle walk-ins.
• Collect patient payments including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including casts and measurements, deliveries, and care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
