Job summary

Insight Institute of Neuroscience & Neurosurgery (IINN) in Flint, MI seeks a Patient Access Representative to join our multi-specialty facility. You will greet patients and coordinate check-in, appointments, and insurance verification within our EMR system.

In a fast-paced team environment, you’ll deliver exceptional patient service, protect confidentiality, and support front-desk operations alongside neurology, pain management, and rehabilitation specialists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field desired.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Detailed oriented, conscientious and committed to precision in work results.
• Ability to relate to and work effectively with a diverse populace.
• Exceptional phone and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computers, preferably strong typing and desktop navigational skills.
• Ability to multitask and move between responsibilities in fluid manner.
• Ability to independently problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients in a friendly and polite manner.
• Provide solutions for customers; troubleshoot as needed.
• Perform data entry through Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Maintain medical records and patient confidentiality.
• Perform insurance verification as needed and directed.
• Answer phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Register patients and schedule appointments as directed.
• Move between responsibilities in a fluid manner; multitask effectively.
• Adhere to department standards and PolicyStat policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
