The position involves verifying eligibility, obtaining authorizations, and providing information on financial assistance programs. It is part of Banner Imaging operations with multiple site coverage and day shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires 1+ year experience in patient financial services, financial, or insurance processes.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and work independently.
• Knowledge of office software, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Experience interacting with a wide range of audiences in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front desk, assist with registration and collections.
• Verify eligibility and obtain authorizations; input demographics and payer info.
• Explain financial policies and offer Medicaid/financial assistance options when applicable.
• Loster liaison between patient, billing, vendors, physicians, and payors to optimize accounts receivable.
• Meet monthly productivity and accuracy targets; document deposits and shifts as needed.
• Support the Patient Financial Services team with daily tasks and special projects.
