Job summary

SSM Health Dean Medical Group in Madison, WI is hiring a part-time Patient Access Representative. This role is 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week) with a daytime schedule; you will serve as a key contact for patients, providers and referral sources, coordinating referrals and ensuring timely access to care.

You will gather demographics, insurance and clinical information, perform registration clerical tasks, and help pre-certification activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patient and enters into appropriate database.
• Schedules patient procedures in a manner that most efficiently utilizes the patient's time and clinical resources.
• Assists with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification/authorization.
• Provides counseling to patient, participant or their representative regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Performs clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
