Job summary

SSM Health St. Clare Baraboo is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Representative to schedule procedures, collect demographics and insurance data, and support patients and staff in a busy hospital setting.

You'll work 12 hours per week, with a 12-hour shift from 10am-10:30pm on weekends, and rotate holidays. The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient access or front desk roles.
• Knowledge of EHR systems and healthcare terminology.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patient and enters into database; resolves issues about procedure details.
• Schedules patient procedures efficiently using clinician time and resources.
• Assists with insurance pre-certification/authorization coordination.
• Provides counseling on pre-service requirements.
• Performs clerical and reception duties for patient registration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
