Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a front-line customer service/registration specialist at Summa Health White Pond Medical Center in Akron, OH. You will support callers and patients with registration, insurance verification, referrals, and scheduling while delivering a high level of patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service or general office support preferred.
• Call center or registration experience desired.
• Familiarity with Registration, Insurance Verification/Pre-Certification, Financial counseling, Patient Accounts is a plus.
• Strong keyboard skills and high accuracy; proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist callers and patients with way-finding, appointment scheduling, and pre-service registration.
• Verify insurance information and conduct pre-certification checks.
• Collect co-pays and provide patient account information as needed.
• Process physician referrals and screen patient symptoms or needs.
• Schedule classes and address questions or concerns, delivering excellent customer service.
