Qualifications

• Customer Service or Data Entry experience required.
• Proficient keyboarding skills required.
• Knowledge of third party payers, ICD-9/CPT coding and medical terminology preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify identity; select correct patient record.
• Enter demographics and insurance information into the EHR; review schedules and orders.
• Explain and complete regulatory and privacy forms; collect co-payments and balances.
• Greet patients and families; answer questions and guide to the right service area.
• May perform scheduling, pre-admission and discharge duties and communicate updates to families.
