Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Patient Access specialist to communicate with patients, families, physicians, and insurers to verify information and ensure accurate hospital billing. You will be part of a team that supports scheduling, chart creation, charge entry, and front desk duties.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to multitask, and willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Competenze

• 1 year of healthcare or related clerical, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of experience.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Mansioni

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification.
• Interviews patients and families to collect demographic and financial information for registration and billing.
• Enters data into systems for registration, billing, and patient tracking to minimize wait times.
• Verifies insurance coverage and authorizations as applicable.
• Explains financial requirements and collects deposits or deductibles when needed.
• Supports Patient Accounting by providing accurate data to produce clean claims and reduce denials.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and handles medical record maintenance.
