Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare, medical office, clinic, or customer-facing administrative environment preferred.
• Knowledge of front desk workflows including scheduling, registration, and check-in/check-out.

Responsibilities

• Proactively screens patients with scheduled appointments for pre-certifications, authorizations/referrals and educates patients on financial policies.
• Manages front desk duties: patient check-in/check-out, verify demographics, collect co-payments, issue receipts, and obtain signatures on required paperwork.
• Answer and route calls from physicians, nurses, staff, and external/academic offices for efficient communication.
• Complete patient scheduling to ensure timely visits.
• Document patient information in EPIC for complete communication across the clinical team.
• Reconcile payments and balance cash drawer at day's end.
• Maintain patient experience and safety following clinical policies and protocols.
