Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative in Brandon, FL. The role is the first point of contact, handling patient registration, scheduling, billing inquiries, and HIPAA-compliant data entry in the EMR.

You will greet patients, verify demographics, manage insurance information, process payments, and support a smooth patient experience from arrival to departure. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Obtain and confirm patient demographics and update profiles.
• Collect payment and assist with billing concerns while meeting time-of-service collection goals.
• Scan insurance cards, IDs, and other information into the EMR system (HIPAA compliance).
• Set up payment plans for patients unable to pay balances.
• Answer high volume calls and respond to patient emails promptly.
• Confirm all unconfirmed appointments for the next business day.
• Monitor lobby and keep patients informed of delays.
• Assist patients with online registration or form completion.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and registration prior to provider visit.
• Ensure check-out and billing are properly completed in the EMR.
• Keep lobby/front area tidy and presentable.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care values and HIPAA compliance.
