Job summary

Women’s Care in Brandon, FL is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice of the practice. You will register new patients, confirm demographics, schedule and reschedule appointments, and assist with billing while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include collecting payments, entering information into the EMR, handling high call volumes, and maintaining a welcoming lobby environment to deliver an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience at every encounter.
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment and work with patients, co-workers, and providers.
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Obtain and confirm patient demographics and update profiles in the EMR.
• Collect payments and assist patients with billing while meeting time-of-service goals.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system (HIPAA compliance).
• Set up and manage patient payment plans per policy.
• Answer high volumes of calls and respond to patient emails promptly.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and verify insurance eligibility.
• Ensure front lobby is tidy and patients are informed of any delays.
