Job summary

Women’s Care in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice of the practice. You will collect patient information, confirm demographics, and ensure accurate scheduling and billing encounters while delivering an extraordinary patient experience.

The role requires outstanding customer service, strong organizational and communication skills, HIPAA awareness, and proficiency with EMR systems like eCW.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have exceptional customer service experience and a true desire to help others while providing a positive patient experience at every encounter.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Must have a customer-centric focus and present themselves in warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• High level of computer literacy with the ability to use and/or quickly learn computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume and dynamic atmosphere.
• Ability to communicate and work efficiently with patients, co-workers, and providers.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and update profiles.
• Collect payments and assist with billing while meeting time-of-service goals.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system.
• Set up payment plans per policy.
• Answer high-volume calls and respond to patient emails promptly.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and registration prior to visits.
• Ensure all appointments are checked out in the system daily.
• Maintain tidy lobby and front area; keep waiting room presentable.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and values.
• Comply with HIPAA rules and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
