Jefferson Health's Center City ED offers a full-time day shift Patient Access Representative in Philadelphia, PA. You will greet patients, collect demographic and insurance data, verify coverage, and assist with referrals and authorizations as needed.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with EPIC and payer portals. Previous ED registration experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; healthcare/administrative coursework preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in hospital/ED patient access or registration preferred.
• Experience with EPIC or similar EHR systems preferred.
• Strong communication, accuracy, and regulatory compliance awareness.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and gather complete demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance coverage and determine medical necessity for outpatient visits.
• Enter orders and assist with MSPQ questionnaire for Medicare patients.
• Collect out-of-pocket liability and process payments at point of service.
