Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative for night relief in the Washington Township ED. Responsibilities include MSPQ interviews, verifying coverage, obtaining referrals/authorizations, and rotating across patient access points to meet metrics while complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• Gathers accurate demographic information and confirms Jefferson patient records.
• Interviews patients to complete Medicare Secondary Payer questionnaire for all Medicare patients.
• Verifies insurance coverage and benefits using RTE/Phreesia or payer websites.
• Ensures referrals and authorizations are on file as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients and staff to ensure a smooth registration process.
• Collects patient out-of-pocket liabilities and copays at the time of service.
• Rotates through Patient Access points including Outpatient Registration and ED.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements and department protocols.
