Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; associate's degree in healthcare or business preferred.
• 3 years' experience in hospital/customer service; emergency department experience preferred.
• Experience with patient registration, insurance verification, and MSPQ questionnaire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance and determine patient financial responsibility at time of service.
• Identify uninsured patients for charity care referral.
• Enter orders and confirm medical necessity for outpatient visits.
• Interview patients for MSPQ questionnaire.
• Use RTE, Phreesia, or payer websites to verify coverage.
• Rotate through ED and outpatient registration points.
• Provide positive patient experience and strong communication.
