Nicklaus Children's is seeking a Registrar Patient Access at the Hialeah Outpatient Center. You will greet patients, collect demographics and payment information, schedule services, and obtain authorizations for hospital services.

The role requires strong English communication, Spanish preferred, and accuracy in data entry. Per Diem, Day shifts, on-site position at the Homestead facility, with emphasis on patient access and efficient check-in processes.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year of customer service experience.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• 1 year of healthcare environment preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
• Fluent in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Able to accurately enter and interpret data.
• Able to follow complex written or verbal instructions to solve problems.
• Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Aufgaben

• Greets patients and families in person or on the telephone in a respectful and empathetic manner.
• Interviews patients to obtain demographic, third party payer, financial/medical information, and identification to schedule or pre-register/register.
• Collects payments and provides receipts.
• Verifies third party payer information via the web or telephone.
• Obtains and documents appropriate authorization for hospital services via web or fax.
• Documents all activities in the Collection Notes file of the computer system as appropriate.
• Schedules hospital services as appropriate.
• Triages incoming facility inquiries and routes appropriately.
• Notifies management of any insurance/financial discrepancies for approval.
