Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families in person or by phone, obtaining demographic, payer, financial, and medical information for registration.
• Verify payer information and obtain authorizations as needed; collect payments and issue receipts.
• Schedule/register or check-in patients and document activities in the hospital system.
• Identify and resolve registration discrepancies; communicate with departments for special needs.
• Ensure HIPAA and EMTALA compliance and obtain necessary consents and documents.
