Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is seeking a Registrar Patient Access at the Hialeah Outpatient Center. This part-time, days role involves greeting patients, collecting demographic and financial information, obtaining authorizations, and collecting payments as required.

The registrar ensures proper patient identification and routing within the facility. Candidate should have at least 1 year of customer service experience, good English communication, and preferably Spanish fluency.

Formación

• 1 year of customer service experience.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of healthcare environment preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients and families in person or on the telephone.
• Obtains demographic, payer, financial, medical information and ID to register for services.
• Obtains authorization and collects payments when required.
• Verifies payer information via the web or phone.
• Documents activities in the system and maintains consents and living will information.
• Directs patients to the appropriate location and notifies guardians as needed.
• Notifies management of insurance/financial discrepancies for approval.
• Triages inquiries and routes appropriately.
• Performs downtime manual registration when needed.
