University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a full-time patient access specialist to provide communication support and scheduling for patients across UR Medicine and its affiliates. You will handle a high volume of inquiries, schedule appointments, and ensure accurate registration using the EMR system.

The role requires attention to confidential information, adherence to protocols, and responsive service to patients and physicians within UR branding standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills required.

Responsabilités

• Answers a large volume of inbound inquiries by phone, email, and other interfaces to schedule appointments and resolve issues.
• Provides basic technical support and handles patient information in accordance with SOPs.
• Ensures proper use of Electronic Medical Records and documents problem resolutions.
• Escalates issues to Administrators, on-call physicians, or other leaders as needed.
• Monitors schedules and processes to improve patient access targets and efficiency.
