Job summary

The University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a Part-time Customer Service/Support role to assist patients with registration, scheduling, and information services. This role handles high-volume inquiries and ensures accurate entry of confidential information within UR Medicine systems.

Responsibilities include responding to patient needs, routing issues to the appropriate departments, and supporting disaster protocols when required.

Responsibilities

• Provides communication support services including general clerical, general information, way-finding, technical support, provider/service referral, patient registration, and scheduling for UR Medicine patients.
• Collects, assesses, submits, processes and updates sensitive and confidential information.
• Resolves patient access issues within limits and works with confidential information from multiple systems.
• Answers patient calls using knowledge to respond to needs while following department protocols.
• Determines when to contact Administrators, on-call physicians, Security or Public Relations.
• Researches and documents non-routine paging issues impacting patient care.

Education
