Job summary

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in Minnesota is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to guide applicants through the care process with one-call resolution. You will assess clinical appropriateness, collect financial and insurance information, and schedule clinical assessments when needed.

You will use strong customer service and sales skills to resolve caller needs, screen for clinical fit, manage a patient caseload, and ensure accurate registration in the EHR across Hazelden Betty Ford

Qualifications

• Associates degree or three years of equivalent experience.
• 3 years of customer service experience.
• 1 year call center or health care experience.
• Strong technology/computer skills, e.g. experience with Medical EHR.

Responsibilities

• Utilize customer service and sales skills to provide resolution to caller’s needs.
• Conduct screening to determine clinical fit for Hazelden Betty Ford substance abuse services.
• Obtain financial and insurance/benefit information to determine eligibility to participate in HBFF programs.
• Manage patient caseload to ensure conversion to admit.
• Ensure appropriate documentation is recorded in patient record to facilitate complete and accurate registration in the EHR.
