Job summary

Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to act as the gateway to care. You will answer live calls, assess clinical suitability, and collaborate across teams to resolve caller needs in one contact when possible.

You will also collect insurance data and help schedule a clinical assessment as appropriate. The role involves managing a patient caseload, ensuring proper documentation in the EHR, and applying strong customer service and sales skills to achieve admissions

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or three years equivalent experience.
• 3 yrs customer service experience.
• 1 yr call center or health care experience.
• Strong technology/computer skills i.e. experience working with Medical EHR.

Responsibilities

• Be the gateway to care by handling live calls and assessing clinical appropriateness.
• Collaborate with internal roles to resolve caller needs on first contact.
• Set up appointments for clinical assessments when appropriate.
• Utilize customer service and sales skills to resolve caller needs.
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR and manage caseload.
