Job summary

FMOL Health seeks a Patient Access Representative 1 to accurately register patients in the EMR, verify insurance coverage, and collect co-pays and deductibles. The role requires effective communication with patients, families, and care teams, plus adherence to healthcare regulations.

The PAR1 will ensure each patient has a single MRN, explain consent and patient rights forms, and document encounters thoroughly for smooth cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service experience (or related certification)

Responsibilities

• Register inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients in the EMR accurately and verify demographics and insurance.
• Collect patient payments and balance cash, including co-pays and deductibles.
• Verify eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations; explain forms to patients.
• Assist with patient flow and ensure accurate cross‑functional communication.
