Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience or related certification.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of EMTALA and related regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in the ED, including demographic and insurance data.
• Coordinate with ED nurses to ensure timely triage.
• Verify eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
• Balance cash and collect patient payments.
• Communicate with patients, families, EMS, nurses and providers.
• Maintain documentation in registration software.
