The role involves verifying eligibility, obtaining authorizations, collecting balances, and coordinating with patients, families, physicians, nurses, insurers and third‑party payers while supporting process improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2 years relevant healthcare experience; related certification substitutions allowed

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: meet customer needs, build relationships, ensure satisfaction and loyalty
• Quality: maintain Passport accuracy ≥97.5% when registering accounts and adapt to patient volume
• Financial Collections: collect estimated patient portions, co-pays, deductibles, deposits and balances
• Insurance and Benefits Knowledge: verify eligibility, obtain authorizations, use spreadsheets to calculate patient responsibility
• Registration: collect and input required data, ensure single medical record number, obtain signatures on documents
• Leadership: team lead role if assigned, mentor and assist with performance improvements and compliance
• Other Duties as Assigned: perform any other tasks as needed
