Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital is seeking a Part time Patient Service Representative (PSR) to be the first point of contact for patients. The role involves greeting, registering, scheduling, and handling insurance/documents with care to ensure an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities include fielding patient inquiries by phone or in person, documenting in EMR, and guiding patients through forms and payments while upholding privacy and PHI safeguards.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills (word processing & data entry).
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with patients and caregivers to deliver high satisfaction.
• Ability to protect PHI and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients; verify information.
• Document calls accurately in EMR and update records.
• Schedule appointments for visits, tests, and referrals.
• Register patients by updating demographic data in registration system.
• Assist with insurance cards, IDs, signatures, and pre-authorization processes.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and assist with payments.
