Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Denver Midtown Clinic. This role is the first point of contact for patients, handling check-in/out, appointment scheduling and demographic verification with a courteous, patient-focused approach.

The PSR will collect insurance information, support billing and financial assistance education, and document interactions in the EMR while protecting PHI and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Ability to protect PHI and patient privacy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers.
• Multilingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients and verify information.
• Schedule appointments for visits, tests, referrals.
• Register patients and update demographics in the system.
• Obtain insurance cards and IDs as required.
• Assist with pre-certification/prior authorization when needed.
• Collect payments and educate patients on financial assistance.
• Document calls accurately in the EMR.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
