Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients, verify information, and enter data into the EMR.
• Schedule patient visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic and insurance data.
• Obtain insurance cards and signatures; assist with required forms for regulatory and billing needs.
• Educate patients on financial assistance and collect payments as applicable.
