NorthBay Health in California seeks a Patient Services Representative II to perform front office duties including reception, registration, scheduling, insurance verification and medical records management for the Ambulatory Division.

You will interact with patients, coordinate referrals, collect co-pays, maintain HIPAA compliance and help keep EMR data accurate while delivering courteous, efficient service.

Formación

• Two years of customer engagement experience and/or service-centered role.
• Healthcare environment experience with medical records, scheduling, referrals and authorizations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and insurance types (Medi-Cal, Medicare, Managed Care, Indemnity, Workers' Comp).
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Register and verify patient information and enter into the EMR.
• Explain insurance options, determine eligibility and collect co-pays.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for specialty care.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and PHI.
• Greet patients and assist with initial questions regarding appointments and payments.
• Support other areas as needed and participate in ongoing training.
