Job summary

TEKsystems in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Contract to Hire Patient Access Specialist to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and set up accounts for billing readiness. You will manage queues, coordinate bedside registrations, and educate patients on financial responsibilities within a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree, strong customer service skills, and experience with Epic applications.

Qualifications

• Follow all federal, state, and organizational regulations, including HIPAA, EMTALA, and CMS standards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and proper use of PPE.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and safety initiatives.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Ability to multitask and manage work queues in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and compassionate care.
• Preferred minimum of an Associate Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• Preferred minimum experience of 3 years in Patient Access or Business office setting.
• Preferred Minimum 1 Year Of Knowledge Of Epic Applications.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
