Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to support patient registration and front-office operations. This position serves as an important first point of contact for patients and visitors and requires strong communication skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Check in and register patients accurately and efficiently.
• Enter and update patient demographic information.
• Verify patient and visitor identities by collecting required information and photo identification.
• Determine whether patients are able to pay applicable out-of-pocket fees or may require financial assistance.
• Explain required consent forms and assist patients with completing necessary admissions paperwork.
• Verify insurance information and ensure patient records are accurate.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming experience for patients and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with team members while also managing responsibilities independently.
• Maintain strong attention to detail while handling multiple tasks and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with patient registration, patient access, admissions, healthcare front desk, or a similar healthcare environment preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fortuna, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
