Job summary

Mount Sinai West seeks a Manager of Patient Access Services to lead day-to-day operations across key service areas, ensure accurate patient registration, insurance capture, and financial clearance, and drive compliance and service excellence. You will supervise supervisors and frontline staff, partnering with Revenue Cycle, IT, and HR to improve efficiency and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle operations in a hospital or large health system.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance processes.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Experience working in a unionized healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access operations, ensuring accurate registration and financial clearance.
• Monitor productivity, accuracy, and quality metrics; drive corrective actions.
• Identify workflow gaps and lead process improvements for efficiency and data integrity.
• Ensure onboarding and regulatory training for staff; support HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and Revenue Cycle to optimize EPIC workflows and performance.
