Mount Sinai West is seeking a Manager of Patient Access Services to oversee day-to-day registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance, ensuring compliance and a patient-centered experience. The role directs supervisors, leads, and staff, collaborating with Revenue Cycle, IT, and HR to optimize operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of leadership in Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle, with EPIC experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle operations within a hospital or large health system.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance processes.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Patient Access operations to ensure accurate registration and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
• Monitor performance metrics related to productivity, accuracy, and quality; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
• Ensure onboarding, ongoing education, and regulatory training for staff, including customer service standards (AIDET).
• Foster relationships with internal stakeholders across departments and ensure HIPAA compliance.
