Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital is seeking a Manager of Patient Access Services to lead daily front-end revenue cycle operations across service areas such as ED, Admitting, and Same Day Surgery. You will ensure accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance while guiding supervisors and staff toward a patient-centered access experience.

Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Finance, IT, HR, and clinical leadership to improve workflows in EPIC, monitor performance

Qualifications

• Experience managing Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle operations in a hospital or large health system.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance processes.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access operations to ensure accurate registration, insurance capture, and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
• Monitor performance metrics related to productivity, accuracy, and quality; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Identify workflow gaps and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
• Ensure staff receive onboarding, ongoing education, and regulatory training (AIDET).
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders across departments and with HR/Labor Relations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and service excellence.
